For most of her adult life, Maria has dabbled in various art forms, from photo-realistic drawing to hat-making to surface design.  She studied graphic design in Nelson, and did freelance  work in that field.  For the last ten years her focus has been sculptural metalwork and  small object design, and most recently, oil painting.  Practicing at the Kootenay School of the Arts and now in her studio in Nelson BC.
